I’m back again today with another fun Christmas post featuring more of my favorite blogger friends. This time we are sharing 20 fun and festive Christmas ornaments that are the perfect little craft for you to make.

First up, I’m sharing my vintage inspired decoupage ornaments that are just another take on the fun decoupaged dollar store pumpkins I did last month. This time around, I picked up some clear ornaments from the Dollar Store and used the same decoupage technique as well as the same napkins to create a pretty blue ornament that’s not only perfect for your tree but looks equally pretty sitting in a bowl.

What You’ll Need

  • Clear plastic ornament balls (I bought the large ones from the Dollar Store but they have a 2-pack of smaller ones, too)
  • Mod Podge (gloss finish)
  • Paint brush
  • Paper napkins (I used these)

How To Make The Ornaments

Remove the metal piece on top of the ornament.

Remove the white paper backing from the napkins. Tear napkins into strips.

Cover the ornament in a thin layer of Mod Podge.

Take the first strip of paper napkin and apply it to the ornament with the paint brush, adding more mod podge to seal it down. Repeat this process with each strip until the entire ornament is covered.

Turn the ornament upside down on top of a plastic cup or something that will keep it still so that it can dry for several hours.

Once dry, put the cap back on (you can spray paint it a color other than silver if you want!). Add a ribbon and hang on a tree or place in a decorative bowl.

Fun, easy and so pretty, right?!

Now it’s time to see the other 19 beautiful DIY ornaments that you can make over the next few weeks. Have fun!

Ahhh. Your ornaments turned out beautifully! That blue is such a soothing color and feels so expensive! Thanks for sharing :)
