Turn a store bought wreath into one that looks custom with this simple hack that you'll have wished you thought of sooner!
OK - full disclaimer up front. This is one of those posts where I wasn't sure if I should ever share it. This "hack" is so simple and I'm sure many of you already do it, but I figured I would share just in case there's a few of you out there that have never thought to do this.
Ready for my hack? You guys, it's so simple. You take any store bought wreath (this is the one pictured), grab some of those pretty wooden words you can find at the Target Dollar Spot, Michael's or Etsy and attach it to the wreath.
I TOLD YOU! It's kind of embarrassing how simple it is. But it's a fabulous way to get a custom look on a store bought wreath!
I strategically attached my little wooden "home" cutout with wire so that I can take it off if I ever want to without ruining the wreath, but if you have a wood that spans right across the width of the wreath, you could also hot glue it on.
I also painted my word with some gold paint before attaching it so don't be afraid of adding some color! Spray paint would be the quickest way to go here but I didn't have any gold on hand, so paint it was.
Place the word across the wreath or right along the bottom for a beautiful effect. I'm thinking words like "blessed", "thankful" and "family" would be fabulous, too. Or maybe even get your name made on Etsy for a custom family wreath!
