    caramel apple cream cheese dip

Caramel apples meet creamy dip in this indulgent treat. It's so easy, I dare even call it a recipe, and kids and adults alike will delight in it!

Caramel apple cream cheese dip with butterscotch chips

Caramel apples were a favorite fall treat of mine as a kid. Usually around Halloween, my mom would treat my brother and I to one. As typical kids, we ate the caramel coating and never finished the apple itself (they were always soggy apples!). These days, I find traditional caramel apples as well as caramel apple dip too sweet for my liking. This cream cheese caramel apple dip however, hits all the right notes for me!

Cream cheese with caramel sauce drizzled on top

My husband doesn't have the sweetest tooth, but he had seconds (and thirds!) of this delight. Needless to say, the kids loved it too. It's one of those treats that you know will be a hit. It's also incredibly easy. Even though it looks impressive, there's nothing homemade about it. I probably shouldn't even call this a recipe, since it's 2 ingredients added to a third and takes all of 1 minute to put together. Perfect for last minute guests!

Dipping apples into caramel apple cream cheese dip

All you need to do is take a block of cream cheese, smother it with good quality caramel sauce and top it with butterscotch chips. That's it! I like to pair it with a firm, tart apple like a Macintosh or Granny Smith but use whatever apples you prefer!

Apples with cream cheese dip smeared on top

Dip sliced apples in, or use a knife to spread it over them. Either way, it's creamy and sweet and sticky. And oh so delicious! Enjoy!!
