I am currently in the midst of pulling together my “vision” for our living room. The inspiration for this room started with a bowl that we received as a wedding gift
From there, I bought some wonderful cushions for the couch from a shop on Etsy. Slowly, my vision was starting to come together…
My next find was these AMAZING lamps that I found at HomeGoods. HomeGoods is my favorite.store.ever! I go there at least once and week, and never leave empty handed! Every time I’m lusting over something from Pottery Barn or Z Gallerie that I cannot afford (or could not ever justify paying) I can usually find something similar at HomeGoods. The perfect example of this is these lamps. They really made the room and at only $39.99 a piece, they were a bargain compared to similar versions selling for $200.
With lamps in hand, I spied a pair of curtains that I knew would totally transform my living room. I hadn’t intended on buying either lamps or curtains but I knew if I didn’t buy them that second, chances are they would be gone when I next returned!
I brought all my purchases home and set up the lamps and hung the curtains as quickly as I possibly could. And here is the final result (drum roll please!)…….
I really love how the colors all tie together! I’m so pleased with how it all turned out. You’ll probably notice the stained wood trim around the windows, which is something else I did recently. More on that another day!
