A super easy DIY project that will transform any older home is replacing all the worn brass door knobs as soon as you can.
We knew we wanted to replace all of ours with a round oil rubbed bronze knobs, since the contrast between white doors and ORB looks pretty amazing.
As soon as all our cream doors were white, the new hardware went on. Once you get the knack of installing the first one, the rest go on very quickly and easily.
If you are looking for a similar door knob, we got ours through D.Lawless Hardware (thank you!). The brand is Copper Creek and the knob itself is the Colonial Style in the Tuscan finish. They have a few other styles too, but the Colonial ones have more character, in my opinion.
In our last home, we purchased similar ones at Lowes. These guys are about $5 cheaper a piece and look just as good, if not better.
With all the trim and walls painted – and now with our new hardware – our hallways look completely transformed.
Between the new kitchen cabinet pulls and our updated doors, we finally have all new door hardware throughout the entire house. And BOY what a difference it makes. Let me tell you, if you’re looking for a quick refresh, this might be the project for you! Head over to D.Lawless Hardware, oogle all their lovely knobs and pulls and update those doors of yours!
