Happy Friday, Friends!
Today I'm sharing a little Christmas something with you. Yes, I know it's too early but this Christmas tree is special. It's decorated with beautiful touches of pink to celebrate Breast Cancer Awareness month.
I'm sure you have been affected by cancer in some shape or form. Personally, my mom's two best friends died of cancer as did my Uncle on my Dad's side. Anything that brings awareness to a great cause - and gives me a reason to decorate a tree in colors I might not usually choose - is a good thing. So here goes, my pink decorated Christmas tree for Breast Cancer Awareness month.
The folks at Tree Classics provided the tree (a real-feel Classic Fraser Fir) and a decorating budget for this post. Trying to find tree decorations in October wasn't easy. Luckily, Michael's, Pier 1 and the Dollar Store had plenty to choose from!
I love glittery ornaments the most. It's so magical how the glitter captures the light and reflects it.
Besides the traditional types of ornaments in pinks, silvers and golds, I added glittery pink flowers and tree picks to really bring home the pink theme. I've never added roses or peonies to a tree before, but I love how they look!
The camera doesn't capture these roses well but they have clear glitter and sparkles all over them and really look stunning in person.
Even during the day, with no tree lights turned on, the pink Christmas tree looks chic and elegant. I might be onto something with this pink & gold thing...
This darling "Joy" pillow if from Target. I knew the second that I saw it that it would match my pink tree decorations perfectly!
Target also currently has these incredibly soft blankets in a variety of colors. I love this cream blanket because it will match any room in my house.
Sticking with the color of Breast Cancer Awareness, Pink wrapping paper adds the perfect pop of color to boxed gifts.
Of course, Santa needs cookies and what's better that sugar cookies with pink buttercream frosting?!
Isn't the sparkle of Christmas tree lights the most beautiful thing? We call them fairy lights in Ireland because they look so magical!
In honor of Pink Month, would you consider giving a donation to the National Breast Cancer Foundation? Your donation will support their mission of providing help to those affected by breast cancer through early detection, education, and support services.
