Our basement living room is a space where we spend a lot of time as a family. It’s well loved and it had started to show!
Our couch that we purchased 8 years ago has held up amazingly well luckily (this navy sectional is similar) but the space definitely needed a little love in the decor department.
I did a quick little shopping spree on Wayfair during their July sale. Wayfair is always my first stop for all things home decor, and for good reason! I was able to score this stunning (truly beautiful) 100% wool rug for an amazing price, along with a new sturdy coffee table that will hold up to my 4 rambunctious boys.
This room is so hard to photograph since it’s a basement. I wish you could see this rug in person! When my husband comments on how pretty it is, you know it’s a stunner! Plus, it’s thick and since it’s wool it will last forever.
I tried out two coffee tables, and this rectangular one ultimately won out. While I preferred the gray tone of the first one I picked, the size was too small. The winning coffee table is sold wood and will hold up to my kids sitting on it!
I’ve owned this cute armchair for around 6 or 7 years now, and brought it in here for extra seating. I love the nailhead detail on the arms!
I’m so happy with how these few simple changes totally transformed this room! It feels so much brighter and bigger, and now it’s the perfect room not just for my kids, but for adults and guests, too.
