Spring is such an amazing season. It’s not just about the warmer weather or the longer days; it’s about the sense of new life and renewal that comes with the season. And what better way to welcome this time of renewal into our homes than with some simple spring decorating ideas?

Today, I’m excited to share how I bring spring into our living spaces in simple and subtle ways.

1. Hang A Spring Wreath On Your Front Door

The first thing I like to do is hang a spring wreath on our front door. It’s a beautiful way to signal the end of winter and the beginning of a new season.

You can get crafty and make your own spring wreath, or purchase a pretty faux one that you can reuse year after year.

2. Do A Little Spring Cleaning And Organizing

Before diving into decorating, I believe in the power of a good spring clean. It’s the perfect time to declutter, organize, and freshen up your living space.

I spent last weekend washing windows, organizing my wardrobe for the spring months, and preparing our patio for the upcoming warmer weather. This step not only cleans our home but also clears the way for new decorations and ideas.

3. Bring Spring Florals Indoors

Nothing says spring like fresh flowers. I make it a point to fill our home with beautiful spring flowers like tulips and daffodils.

I found some gorgeous white tulips last week at Trader Joe’s and arranged them in a clear vase on our dining table. They’re a simple yet effective way to add a pop of color and a breath of fresh air into any room.

Plus, arranging them is an easy spring decor idea that brings so much joy.

4. Use Faux Flowers

While I love fresh cut flowers, I also embrace the beauty of faux flowers and stems for their longevity and ease of care.

I follow a simple rule: only use faux flowers and stems that mimic the ones blooming outside during the spring (even if they’re not in bloom quite yet!).

Faux tulips and cherry blossoms are my favorites, adding a touch of spring that lasts all season long. I love using faux flowers in my Mother’s day table decorations, too! They are just so pretty this time of year.

5. Decorate Your Fireplace Mantel for Spring

The fireplace mantel often serves as a focal point in a living space. For a clean and refreshing spring look, consider placing matching clear vases on either end of the mantel, filled with simple arrangements of white tulips or daffodils.

This approach adds balance and a touch of nature, creating a serene and inviting atmosphere with candles in light spring colors.

If you have art over your mantel, switch it out for something with lighter colors. Or like me, update your Frame TV art.

6. Console Table and Coffee Table Spring Styling

A console table can welcome spring with a single eye-catching floral arrangement in the center, perhaps a glass vase with fresh cut hyacinths or daffodils. Adding a small potted plant or a bowl of moss alongside a few light-colored spine books creates a layered, interesting display that’s subtly infused with the essence of spring.

For the coffee table, a tray to corral a small arrangement of fresh flowers, a couple of coasters, and a candle or diffuser can not only organize your space but also make it easy to clear the table when needed. It’s a simple yet effective way to add a seasonal touch that’s both beautiful and functional.

7. Lighten Up Your Textiles

Switching to lighter fabrics and brighter colors in your home textiles is an easy spring update that makes a big difference.

I swapped out our heavy winter bedding for lighter layers and added bright throw pillows to the living room sofa. These changes instantly refreshed the look and feel of our spaces, making them ready for the spring season.

Final Thoughts

As we move through the spring months, I find there’s no better time to refresh our living spaces. These simple ideas, from spring wreaths to blooming branches and lighter textiles, are all about celebrating the new life and energy that the season brings. Whether it’s a small space or a large family room, there are countless ways to infuse your home with the spirit of spring.

Remember, it’s the little things that can make a big difference. A potted plant here, a floral arrangement there, or even just swapping out a few textiles can completely transform your home for the spring season.

Plus, you can easily transition your spring decor using these summer decor ideas in a couple of months when the heat really picks up!

Take this time of renewal to refresh your space and, in turn, refresh your spirit. Happy decorating!
